BOOK FAIRSEach year, the Austin Library holds one or more book fairs in conjunction with Scholastic Books, Inc. At each one of these fairs, students, staff and families are invited to examine a wide assortment of wholesome and educational books that will appeal for most every age group and reading interest in our school.
Buying these colorful and informative works is an excellent way to improve one's personal library, obtain wonderful gifts that will be treasured for a lifetime, and help our school library in the process. All the proceeds from these book fairs go toward purchasing new books for the Austin Library. Our thanks go out to everyone who helps to make each one of our book fairs a success. |
NEW BOOKSEvery year, hundreds of books are added to the shelves of the Austin Library. Using funds from book fair proceeds and the annual library budget, new books are purchased from various publishers. And donations of appropriate books are always welcome.
The Librarian invites faculty and students to suggest titles, authors and genres they would like added to our collection. Based on their recommendations and the needs of the Library, we annually make hundreds of new books available to our Austin family. |
